Thanks for the post suggestions, everyone! You’ll definitely be seeing your ideas in upcoming posts. We’re feeling a tad under the weather in the Leino household, so this is it for today’s blogging. Here’s a new pic of our sweet girl to hold you over until tomorrow. 🙂
She’s precious!
You and I emailed briefly on Facebook. Like you, we lost our first son, named Isaac. I am about to give birth to our daughter, who like you also, we’ve named Eliana.
In your post below, you asked about things your readers would like to see in future posts. I would love to know how you balance missing your son with fully embracing loving your daughter. I would also love to know how you plan to or already do maintain Isaac’s place in your family without making Eliana feel second rate. I know that balance your love for two children is something all second time parents face, but it seems particularly hard when one of your children isn’t here. So I guess more specifically, how do you plan for Eliana to know about Isaac? Are there things you still do as a family to honor special days with regard to Isaac (like his birthday, etc)?
I trust that the Lord will faithfully lead us in this, but as parents who are also walking this journey, I would love to know your thoughts 🙂
Love those eyes!! She is way too cute!!
May the Lord continue to bless you all the same way he has blessed us.
What a sweetheart!
Thanks ya’ll for your prayers! Cai is doing much better today. Really tired but breathing much better=) I have been reminded of just how blessed we are! God’s grace is sufficient.
So glad God has placed your family in our lives=)
